New Mardi Gras Appoints Asian Media
Partner

- New Mardi Gras has appointed Fridae.com, Asia's largest
gay and lesbian website, as the Asian Media Partner
of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras for 2003.
"Fridae.com is no stranger to the Mardi Gras or Australia,
the website was launched two years ago and they were
a principal sponsor of the 2001 Sydney Gay and Lesbian
Mardi Gras," said New Mardi Gras Co-Chair Michael Woodhouse.

Dr Stuart Koe said he was proud to contribute to New
Mardi Gras. "The pioneering efforts of Mardi Gras in
achieving tolerance and diversity in Australia serve
as a shining beacon for Asia's fledgling but rapidly
growing and evolving gay and lesbian community," Dr
Koe said.
"In many respects, Asia's community is just 'coming
out', yet being home to some 3.6 billion people, the
region represents tremendous potential. As the Asian
media partner, we are uniquely capable of highlighting
the excitement and significance of the world's largest
