We will begin our afternoon with a 50-minute docent-led tour of the new Korean Art Gallery which opened on September 10, 2009. LACMA’s collection of Korean art is recognized as the most comprehensive outside of Korea and Japan, despite a relatively short history of collecting. After the tour, we can proceed to the Pavilion of Japanese Art. There are two special exhibitions currently in the Japanese Pavilion. In the west wing is the exhibit "Japanese Prints: Yoshitoshi's Demons." The east wing of the Japanese Pavilion contains the exhibit "Japanese Paintings: Twenty Years of Acquisitions."
A/PGF is "Asian/Pacific Gays and Friends," a social organization in Los Angeles for gay asians and their friends. You do not have to be a member to attend this event, but we hope you will enjoy yourself so much that you will want to join APGF!
