Toyota Celica (2000-2005)
Since 1970, Toyota has been positioning the Celica as an affordable and sporty coupe to target the youth market. Seven generations on, Toyota abandoned the coupe market altogether, leaving its Asian distributors with boring sedans and MPVs.

Honda Integra (2002-2007)
The Integra started off as an up-market and sportier version of Honda’s mass selling Civic. Since 1986 and four generations on, Honda threw in the towel as the coupe market shrank. The Japanese carmaker will return to the coupe with a Hybrid powered coupe soon.

Opel Astra GTC
Soon to be retired, but the Astra GTC led the way for 3-dr hatchbacks to be styled like a coupe. If Opel survives, the next GTC will be promising.

Volvo C30
Hard to imagine the once ultra conservative, Volvo making an oddball coupe like the C30, it looks great and even comes in Eco-versions.

Mercedes Benz CLC
Targeted at young American college kids, the CLC is certainly for badge slaves, but it is actually not too bad to drive, will be killed in 2011.

Renault Megane Coupe
Will Renault bring in the Megane coupe when the Megane range comes to Singapore at the end of this year? Fingers crossed.

Volkswagen Scirocco Mark I (1974 - 1982)
The first generation Scirocco was an attainable dream car for many people. Some call the Volkswagen Scirocco the automotive superstar of the 70’s. Styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro and equipped with four full-fledged seats, a proper trunk and a lot of self-esteem.
